About Sid Sawhney, Our Founder

Sid has over 24 years of experience in the events services industry and has vast knowledge of custom fabrication, audio, lighting, video, and more. He has been in the A/V rental business for over a decade and he recognized a lack of creative event furniture rental items that were becoming high demand by clients.

That’s when he decided to answer the call for creative solutions to event problems with the creation of Modern Event Rental. With a strong penchant for entrepreneurship, Sid rolls up his sleeves daily to deliver exceptional experience to his customers.

He was recognized at the 2014 Hall of Fame for Illinois Meetings + Events and was listed as a Persons of Interest and awarded the title of Up-and-Coming Supplier.

We only offer a secure payment link to process bank and cc payments. Since we follow PCI Compliance, we will never take your personal and financial information over the phone or regular e-mail.

What happens if you have an emergency during event rental?

We will provide you with an emergency number and a person to contact for any emergencies. We do 95% of all deliveries nationwide ourselves in order to avoid 3rd party damages from logistics firms and guarantee safe delivery of items.
